Dr Daniel Stiglitz

Dr Daniel Stiglitz is a consultant anaesthetist and perioperative physician. He enjoys combining his public practice at Alfred Health with his private practice throughout  Melbourne.

He completed anaesthetic training at the Alfred hospital in Melbourne in 2011. During his training he gained valuable skills, treating highly complex patients. Daniel enjoys the challenge of high risk anaesthetics and is dedicated to improving medical practice through perioperative medicine.

He is passionate about education and as such enjoys teaching other specialists, registrars and medical students. He has been involved in several teaching programs including the PROMPT course through Western Health, The national airway refresher course, theatre nurse teaching, and regularly delivers lectures and tutorials.

Daniel has participated in the H.A.R.T scan workshop: Haemodynamic Echocardiography Assessment in Real Time, Perioperative Medicine Short Course (The Alfred Hospital and  Monash University), Ultrasound in Anaesthetics and Critical Care Workshop (Australian Institute of Ultrasound), Early Management of Severe Trauma (Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Victoria) and Emergency Management of Anaesthetic Crises (St Vincent’s Hospital).

Daniel also has a keen interest in clinical research. He believes best practice is based on evidence based medicine.
